Potato PC Settings

This is for people who are near the minimum requirement for Genesis but still want to play and don’t mind sacrificing visual fidelity. It is assumed you followed the instructions over at General Lag before coming here. I will not repeat the same stuff.

  1. ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN 80 GB PAGE FILE
  2. Disable the following mods under each category. Please ensure your modlist is properly sorted by priority, with 0 at the top, before proceeding. We had someone who had their mods sorted alphabetically so he proceeded to disable every mod under “F” which was basically more than half the modlist.
    • Disable ALL mods under Visuals -> Face Textures
    • Disable ALL mods under Visuals -> Lighting

Downscaling Textures

Before doing this portion of the guide, please read this short guide if you’ve never used Mod Organizer 2 before. If you ask a question in the discord that’s clearly answered in this guide, then I’m just going to link this guide to you anyway.

  1. Coruscant Downscaled Textures – If you are crashing Coruscant and have low VRAM, this should help alleviate it. Put the zipped file in the downloads folder inside Genesis and then install through Mod Organizer 2
  2. Reduced Texture Detail This is the most up to date texture downscaler out right now for Starfield. Put the zipped file in the downloads folder inside Genesis and then install through Mod Organizer 2
