Star Wars Genesis is set between 5 and 1 BBY, approximately 14-18 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. However, the galaxy is a bit different than what you’re used to. Genesis features it’s own unique lore and timeline, very similar to but separate from the canon Star Wars universe. It is best described as a “what if” timeline, offering fans the opportunity to experience what are considered the strongest elements of multiple eras within a single, grounded narrative framework.

However, please note that Star Wars Genesis remains a work in progress, with many elements still being converted, written, or rewritten. Each update further grounds the narrative, gradually refining the experience until it evokes the same sense of immersion found in Knights of the Old Republic, The Old Republic, and The Force Unleashed. The goal is to place the player within a galaxy that feels both strange and familiar, where outcomes are uncertain and the journey is not predetermined, unlike more recent Star Wars titles where the entire plot is apparent within the first few minutes of play and the sense of narrative mystery is largely absent.

7944 C.R.C. | 33 BBY
  • The Yuuzhan Vong enter the timeline from the World between Worlds. These are the remnants of the Vong that lost in the original Legends timeline.
7945 C.R.C. | 32 BBY (same year as Phantom Menace)
  • The Yuuzhan Vong begin assimilating within all major factions and influencing events behind the scenes.
  • The Queen signs the Treaty of Naboo and allows the peaceful occupation of her planet by the Trade Federation.
  • Sifo-Dyas orders the creation of a clone army for the Republic after experiencing visions of the Jedi going extinct.
  • A young Anakin Skywalker is found by the Jedi Order on the planet of Tatooine.
  • Sheev Palpatine becomes Supreme Chancellor of the Republic due to sympathy votes from losing his home planet.
7955 C.R.C. | 22 BBY (same year as original Clone Wars)
  • Palpatine orchestrates a Separatist Crisis.
  • The Republic discovers the clone army on Kamino and officially begins the Clone Wars at the Battle of Geonosis.
  • Sarah and her crew get ambushed and crash on the planet of Serenno, where she is stranded for the next year.
7958 C.R.C. | 19 BBY (same year as original Revenge of the Sith)
  • The Yuuzhan Vong destabilize the planetary crust of Taris, triggering the destruction of its surface and crippling trade across the galaxy.
  • Palpatine’s early Death Star plans are deliberately leaked to the public by Yuuzhan Vong infiltrators.
  • Order 66 is executed prematurely, with the Jedi scapegoated for the leaked Death Star project. The Jedi Order is exterminated.
  • The Republic is reorganized into the Galactic Empire with Palpatine as Emperor, but public trust in his leadership is at an all time low.
  • The Shadow Collective is formed on Mandalore by Darth Maul.
7959 C.R.C. | 18 BBY
  • The Empire bomb Mandalores due to the unchecked growth of the Shadow Collective.
  • Sarah leaves the Empire.
  • Palpatine begins conducting secret experiments across the galaxy, including projects involving the rakghoul plague, Blackwing virus, and cloning.
7965 C.R.C. | 12 BBY
  • The Empire evacuates and bombards Kijimi following the outbreak of an ancient rakghoul virus, leaving behind a single forward operating base.
  • Palpatine, increasingly paranoid and now aware of the Yuuzhan Vong threat embedded within the galaxy, flees to the Unknown Regions with a trusted armada of loyal troops and Force-sensitive Inquisitors.
7967 C.R.C. | 10 BBY
  • The containment of the Rakghoul virus is proven unsuccessful, as Rakghouls are now seen in countless settled systems across the Galaxy.
  • The Galactic Civil War officially begins. The Rebel Alliance establishes their capital in Dantooine and places numerous bases across the Galaxy
  • The Empire establishes an extensive mining campaign on Geonosis and other planets for war resources.
7968 C.R.C. | 9 BBY
  • Geonosis is officially sterilized by the Empire
7972+ C.R.C. | 5-1 BBY
  • The Yuuzhan Vong begin collecting artifacts.
  • The player character discovers an artifact.
